AI-generated avatars are lately getting a lot of traction across the gaming community. Google seems to be aware of that and is reportedly working on an AI avatar generator for the Google Play Store. The upcoming feature will allow generating a personalized avatar for your Play Games profile.

\nFolks over at Android Authority previously spotted evidence of Google working on an AI avatar generator when digging through the Play Store app\u2019s version 44.9.19-29. While the feature is not available in the current Play Store beta release (version 45.0.21), the publication managed to get the AI avatar generator in action and highlighted it through a screen recording\u00a0in a report published earlier today.
\nThe AI avatar generator reportedly allows the creation of personalized avatars based on three parameters. Those parameters are character, background, and art style. In other words, you can generate your AI avatar from scratch, using multiple options available for all three parameters.
\nSome notable character options available within the AI avatar generator are Dragon, Fox, Cat, Dog, Octopus, Robot, Warrior, and more. As for the background, you\u2019ll have the option to choose from Forest, Space, Beach, Desert, Underwater, Sparkle, etc. You can also pick from art styles like Comics, Anime, 3D Cartoons, Cinematic, and more to personalize your AI-generated avatar for your Play Games profile.
\nHere\u2019s how generating an AI avatar would work
\nWhen Google releases the feature, tapping the pencil icon next to your profile image will open the AI avatar generator in the Play Games app. On the following page, you\u2019ll be able to select your preferred character, background, and art styles. Next, AI will work its magic and generate an avatar that represents you in the virtual gaming world.
\nIf you don\u2019t like the AI-generated avatars, you can always refresh the selection and randomize the parameters. To do this, you\u2019ll need to tap the buttons placed at the bottom of the screen. As a result, you\u2019ll see different avatars generated by AI.
\nCurrently, tapping the pencil icon in the stable version of the Play Games app only allows you to choose from preset characters and save them as the profile image. As seen in the video below, the AI avatar generator worked pretty well when tested. So, it\u2019s almost ready. It\u2019s only a matter of time before Google releases it.<\/p>\n
