However, several users have complained on Fitbit’s forums and subreddit that the same update has dramatically reduced their device’s battery life.
Several Fitbit users have complained that their devices barely last a single day after the update
On January 21, Google issued a notice that the batteries of some Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 smartwatches were at risk of overheating. The company rolled out an update to reduce that risk. As per Google’s support page for Fitbit devices, “The update will improve the stability of the device’s battery performance and reduce the risk of the battery overheating. As a result, the battery will last for shorter periods between charges and you may need to charge your device more frequently.”
However, several Fitbit users have reported that their devices are losing their charge much faster than they did before the new firmware update. One of the Fitbit Versa 3 users reports that while their wearable used to last five to six days on a single charge, after the update, it barely lasts for a day. One original Fitbit Sense owner mentioned that their “battery has started dying rapidly.”
Furthermore, posts about these problems each have comments from several other Fitbit users who describe similar experiences. Notably, some Fitbit users have claimed that the reduction in battery life has made their devices useless.
Google’s latest update to fix Fitbit’s battery problems is unavoidable
You can’t avoid the latest update for your Fitbit Sense or Versa 3 smartwatch. If you don’t install the new update in a few days, your Fitbit wearable will reset itself and force the new update. It will delete some information, including alarms, goals, credit and debit cards, saved settings, and notifications on your Fitbit devices. After the factory reset, you’ll need to set up your device again.
It’s worth mentioning that Google isn’t leaving the Fitbit smartwatch users completely high and dry. The company has set up a form where people impacted by the recent update can register for an “appeasement” of $50. If you qualify, you can claim the credit even if you aren’t regularly using your Fitbit Sense or Versa 3 smartwatch.
The post Google’s latest update greatly reduces battery life of Fitbit watches appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Last month, Google released a new update for the Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense smartwatches, which notified users to download […]

[1

post-15333","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
