The company has had its fair share of price hikes over the years, which bring it pretty much on par with Verizon and AT&T. Well, the fun doesn’t stop, as there is a 70% chance of a T-Mobile price hike, and it could be announced as soon as tomorrow.
At this point, we are still dealing with early information, so you’ll want to take it with a grain of salt. We don’t know how much T-Mobile will raise the price if it even does.
One thing we do know is that it won’t affect all T-Mobile employees. According to the source, it might only affect people who moved over to T-Mobile from Sprint when the merger happened back in 2020. So, if you weren’t a part of that group, then your prices are safe for the time being.
There’s a 70% chance of a T-Mobile price hike
A Reddit post went up which hinted at a T-Mobile announcement happening on Thursday, March 13th, but was promptly deleted. We’re not sure why it was axed, but it’s not quite a good sign. However, we know that the company has something to announce. In all fairness, we can’t say for certain that the company will announce higher prices.
However, sources close to the matter told Phone Arena that employees are bracing for the effects of a price hike. Private conversations between employees point to them getting ready to deal with a massive influx of customer complaints. Also, they’re offering incentives and overtime to employees who might be on the front lines dealing with the customers.
The dates line up
Going back to the Sprint merger, T-Mobile is obligated to keep prices for past Sprint customers until April 2025. So, it’s pretty convenient that T-Mobile has an announcement right before this agreement expires. So, it’s likely that the company is going to raise prices for past Sprint users at the very first opportunity it can, but we’ll need to wait for official confirmation.
While there’s no official word, a T-Mobile insider did say that there’s a 70% chance that this will turn out to be a price hike announcement. If this is true, then the company will need to brace for a bunch of angry customers.
The post There’s a 70% chance of a T-Mobile price hike appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Prices for everything are going up all the time, and even the “Un-carrier” T-Mobile is no exception.
