It brings multimodal capabilities like real-time video and screen sharing features to Gemini Live. Google started rolling out Project Astra’s real-time camera/video and screen sharing functionalities to some Gemini Live users earlier this month. Now, the company has announced a wider rollout of these features for the AI assistant.
Google’s Project Astra’s real-time camera & screen sharing features are now rolling out to more users
Earlier this month, Google’s Project Astra’s real-time camera/video and screen sharing features started rolling out to some Xiaomi phone users. Now, the company has rolled out these functionalities to more Gemini Live users across the globe.
In a post on X, Google (via @GeminiApp) announced, “…we see (and share) the excitement around this feature and are working hard to make it available to more people! The ability to share your camera or screen in Gemini Live conversations will continue to roll out, and we’ll provide updates on this page as the feature expands.”
It appears that Google isn’t specifically rolling out Gemini Live’s real-time video and screen sharing features to the Pixel or Samsung Galaxy devices. All the Gemini Advanced users on Android devices seem to be getting the new functionalities.
What can you do with the new features?
Gemini Live can now see screens and camera feeds in real-time for Google One AI Premium subscribers. By sharing your phone’s camera feed or screen, you can ask questions about either of them in real-time.
Sharing your device’s screen with Gemini Live will let you ask it questions about what you’re currently viewing. The long-awaited real-time camera/video sharing with Gemini Live works similarly. However, instead of analyzing what’s on your phone’s screen, it can answer questions about what it is seeing through your camera.
It’s worth adding that Google rolled out these new Gemini Live features nearly a year after demonstrating Project Astra. Let us know in the comments if you’ve received the new Gemini features, and your experience using them.
The post Google is rolling out Gemini’s live camera & screen sharing features appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Google has taken its time to develop features for Project Astra, one of the biggest announcements related to Gemini in […]

[1

post-15809","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
