However, the company will soon make it available to all ChatGPT users in the near future. The feature handles complex tasks, like making a paper-white-like report about a certain topic for you.
Earlier in February, OpenAI introduced Deep Research, its new agentic capability in ChatGPT. The feature allows you to use artificial intelligence to compile factual information into detailed reports on any topic. So far, the advanced functionality of one of the world’s most popular chatbots has only been exclusively available to Plus, Pro, and Enterprise subscribers. However, OpenAI is all set to offer the Deep Research AI agent to all ChatGPT users for free soon.
ChatGPT’s Deep Research AI agent will be available to all for free soon
Isa Fulford, a member of the technical staff at OpenAI, confirmed at a recent webcast that ChatGPT’s Deep Research AI agent will soon be available for all users for free. “If you haven’t tried deep research, it’s available now for Pro, Pro, Teams, Enterprise and EDU users, and we’ll launch you to free very soon,” Isa Fulford noted in the webcast. Unfortunately, there’s no word about when exactly OpenAI plans to launch the feature for free to all ChatGPT users at the moment.
Currently, you need to pay $20 per month for the ChatGPT Plus subscription to use the Deep Research functionality. You can avail yourself of an extended access to the feature by paying $200/month for the ChatGPT Pro subscription. Free ChatGPT users might gain limited access to the Deep Research AI agent. It could only offer just a few free samples daily, similar to the limitations on its image generation tool. Perplexity AI also offers its “Deep Research” equivalent for free—with usage limits.
What can you do with Deep Research?
ChatGPT’s Deep Research AI agent can do work for you independently. Once you give it a prompt, it will analyze and synthesize hundreds of sources online to make a detailed report at the level of a research analyst about a topic. You can think of it as your very own analyst who can go off on its own and report findings to you in a matter of minutes.
It can also cross-verify the report against the millions of sites on the internet. To start a “Deep Research,” you just need to enter a query in ChatGPT like “Make a report on flooding and its causes or effects,” and the tool will look for all possible keywords to deliver a detailed report.
The post OpenAI to soon offer Deep Research to all ChatGPT users for free appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Summary: OpenAI’s Deep Research feature is currently available exclusively to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Enterprise subscribers.
