Companies impacted by the tariffs include Sony, Nintendo, SEGA Sammy, Konami, and a few others.<br \/>\nThe share value for several Japanese game companies is seeing a sharp decline due to tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump, with values decreasing for the likes of Sony, SEGA, Bandai Namco, and many others.<br \/>\nIt should be noted that the tariffs are going to impact more than just Japanese game companies. This means the share value is likely going to fall for other game companies as well, if they haven\u2019t already. The decreasing value for companies like SEGA and other game publishers in Japan was spotted by Wccftech around 5AM Eastern Standard Time this morning. Which is 2AM Pacific Standard Time on the West Coast.<br \/>\nSo it\u2019s highly likely that values for shares of publishers in other parts of the world have already started showing signs of similar decline. With regards to the Japanese companies, Sony reportedly saw the biggest decline at the time of the original report, with a noted slightly higher than 10% decrease in share value. Sony is said to be followed by Nintendo at a decrease of around 7.85%.<br \/>\nThe biggest Japanese game companies that are losing share value<br \/>\nWhile Sony and Nintendo appear to have been hit by the biggest decreases in share value, they\u2019re far from the only two that are seeing the drop. Koei Tecmo\u2019s value has seen a reported decrease of 7.63%, while Bandai Namco dropped by about 7.37%. SEGA Sammy and Capcom have seen a share value decline by 7.29% and 6.61%, respectively.<br \/>\nSquare Enix and Konami round out the remaining companies that were mentioned. With a share value decrease for Square Enix sitting at 5.62%, and Konami sitting at 5.19%.<br \/>\nWill Nintendo\u2019s drop in share value impact the Switch 2 price in the US?<br \/>\nThis isn\u2019t a certainty. That being said, some US consumers are worried the price of the console will now go up. A large number of consumers were already unhappy with the listed price for the Switch 2. Nintendo announced the Switch 2 last week during the Switch 2 Direct. While it didn\u2019t announce the price during the livestream, prices went up on the Switch 2 landing page. The console will reportedly retail for $449.99. There will also be a bundle version for $499.99 that comes with Mario Kart World.<br \/>\nAt these prices, an increase due to tariffs would potentially price some consumers out. Meaning it would be outside of the budget of certain consumers. The Nintendo Switch 2 was supposed to go up for pre-order on April 9. However, Nintendo has delayed pre-orders in the US.
