Apple is usually known for its clean and modern designs for its iPhones. Unfortunately, the design of the company\u2019s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro series has us scratching our heads. If you hoped that the leaked renders and photos you\u2019ve seen were fake, it\u2019s looking less likely by the minute. A new video posted on X by tipster Majin Bu shows off an iPhone 17 Pro dummy unit reflecting what has been leaked.<\/p>\n

The latest video shows a dummy unit of the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro along with its ridiculous-looking camera module. For some reason, Apple has opted to change the design of the camera module on the phone. It now stretches across the back of the phone. For reference, the current iPhone 16 Pro models have a camera module sitting at the corner of the phone.<\/p>\n

Many have noted that this design appears to draw inspiration from Google\u2019s Pixel series. However, Apple\u2019s implementation feels less graceful. There\u2019s a lot of blank space between the camera lenses, flash unit, sensors, and microphone. We\u2019re not sure what the blank space is being used for. Unless Apple has a specific reason for that, we\u2019re chalking this up to bad and questionable design.<\/p>\n

Other than that, the rest of the iPhone 17 Pro doesn\u2019t look too different from its predecessor. The Action Button and volume rockers are still in the same place. This also applies to the power and Camera Control buttons. The rumors say that the screen size will remain the same as the iPhone 16 Pro, so apart from the change in the camera module, it\u2019s identical to 2024\u2019s lineup.<\/p>\n
What has us excited for the iPhone 17 lineup this year is the rumored introduction of the iPhone 17 Air. This is the first time in a long time that Apple is introducing a new model to its phone series. The iPhone 17 Air will replace the Plus model. It is also rumored to be Apple\u2019s thinnest iPhone to date.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019ve been following the rumors, you know Apple is compromising on the features of the phone to accommodate the new thin body. However, we are looking forward to it because it is a precursor to Apple\u2019s foldable iPhone, which is set to launch in 2026.
