The game isn’t supposed to launch until next year. When it does, it should be available on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox. This far-out launch hasn’t stopped footage of the game’s various states of development from surfacing, such as this recent one showcasing the level of destruction the game is poised to have.

Spoiler alert, it’s a lot. A whole lot of destruction that sparks memories of games like Red Faction 1 and 2. Maybe not quite to those levels, or at least not in the same way. I once remember playing a match of Red Faction where I shot a hole in the wall so deep I was able to climb into it and crawl back a fair distance. I then proceeded to wait for other players to run by so I could snipe them with a rocket launcher. The destruction in Battlefield 6 won’t be quite like that. It is far, far more visually appealing, however, and obviously far more advanced.

Battlefield games are also known for their destruction and the destruction’s capability to shift how certain matches might be played. For example, you might be holed up in a building sniping enemies from a hidden vantage point. All of a sudden, a mortar or rocket hits that very same building. Blowing off the side of the building you’re in, thus exposing you to your enemies visually, putting you at more of a risk. You can expect a lot of that in Battlefield 6, based on this early footage.

Battlefield 6 destruction leaked in early alpha footage

If you wanted an early look at what Battlefield 6’s destruction is like, you can see it in this leaked footage from the game’s testing. This comes from the Battlefield Labs pre-alpha stages. So, it’s worth remembering that this is still pretty early in the development. That means there’s plenty of time to go before things are finalized visually and technically.

With that in mind, some of the ways things look during explosions may change. At the same time, other elements that are very clearly not complete look this way because the footage is pre-alpha. For example, at one point in the video, you can see the player hop behind a mounted launcher and fire off rockets or artillery shells at nearby buildings. After the weapon is fired, a white coil follows the path of the artillery, leading from the launcher to the target. This remains in view for several seconds after. So, we imagine this isn’t supposed to look like this in the final build of the game. There are a few other small details that will most likely be polished up before launch. For the most part, things are looking good.

The post Destruction in Battlefield 6 is a glorious mess of mayhem appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Battlefield 6 is nowhere near being done as EA continues to work on the next title in its long-running and […]

[1

post-16626","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
