Google has established itself as one of the leading names with its Gemini models. The company works hard to add improvements and new features to its AI from time to time to maintain its position and put pressure on OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Today, Google has expanded the availability of Gemini 2.5 “Pro” and “Flash,” in addition to launching the brand-new “Flash-Lite” version.

Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash have been available for a while now. However, they had not yet reached the “stable” stage. That is changing right now with the expansion to a wider audience, being now fully baked and ready for prime time.

Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro & Flash official launch

There is also great news for the free Gemini users. The Mountain View giant is maintaining access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro stable model with the current usage limits (10 prompts per day). On the other hand, subscribers to paid plans are receiving new, broader usage limits—up to 100 prompts per day for “Pro” queries. If you’re an AI Ultra subscriber, you’ll get the highest level of access to these advanced models.

Developers, too, can now confidently integrate the stable 2.5 Pro and 2.5 Flash into their projects. The blog post says that companies like Spline, Rooms, Snap, and SmartBear are already putting them to work.

Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite: An even faster AI model for everyday tasks

Google also just unveiled a brand-new, super-efficient member of the family: Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite. This new model is currently available in preview for developers. As its name suggests, it is specifically designed for tasks that need to be lightning-fast and cost-effective. Think high-volume operations like translating text on the fly or quickly categorizing data.

Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite boasts impressive perks. It offers lower latency than its predecessors while still delivering higher quality in areas like coding, math, science, reasoning, and even handling different types of data (multimodal tasks). This addition means developers have even more flexibility to choose the right Gemini model for their specific needs, balancing power, speed, and cost.

Stable models available from Gemini’s mobile app

The stable versions of Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash are available now on the Gemini mobile app. They will likely be available on Gemini’s website soon as well. Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite is also available for developers through the Google AI Studio and Vertex AI platforms.
The post Gemini Unleashed: 2.5 Pro & Flash Now Stable & Available for All appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

The artificial intelligence segment has become one of the most competitive in the tech industry.
