Google Photos is getting smarter day by day, all thanks to Google\u2019s effort to integrate AI into the app. In the past few months, the Google Photos app has received a bunch of updates. Earlier this month, Google rolled out AI-powered edit suggestions to Google Photos. Now, according to a report, Google Photos may soon offer photo delete suggestions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll soon get photo-deleting suggestions in Google Photos<\/p>\n

Earlier today, Android Authority reported spotting code strings hinting at delete suggestions in Google Photos release version 7.35. Per the report, the Google Photos app may soon start to automatically suggest photos that users may want to delete. The delete suggestions will only appear after a user manually selects and deletes multiple photos.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once the delete suggestions feature is live, Google Photos will notify users about it. As spotted in the code strings, that banner will read, \u201cTry a new deleting experience whenever you select and delete %1$d or more photos.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not all; there will be another pop-up with the title \u201cClean up your library.\u201d That pop-up will include a message, which reads, \u201cWe found some photos you may want to delete.\u201d Although there\u2019s no mention, it appears that Google Photos might use AI capabilities to offer delete suggestions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Users will also be able to turn the feature off<\/p>\n

Not to forget, users will also be able to review the suggestions before removing the photos selected automatically by Google Photos. The app will reportedly also get a setting related to this feature. If users don\u2019t find the feature useful, they can always turn it off. For now, it\u2019s unclear if or when Google will roll out this feature. However, it\u2019s clear by now that Google Photos is getting a lot of attention internally, which is eventually good news for all the users.\u00a0
