Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S10 series by the end of 2024 and released the FE versions in April this year. The Korean tech giant is now actively developing the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. Samsung could launch the device as the most affordable option in the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. In May, some tipsters spotted the new offering in the database of the benchmarking tool Geekbench. Now, a user on X suggests Samsung has started testing the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite\u2019s software internally.<\/p>\n

On X, user @Alfat\u00fcrk suggests that they have found firmware for a Samsung device bearing the model number SM-X406B on the company\u2019s server. If we believe the reports, this model number links to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite slate. It has been in development for a long time.<\/p>\n

Samsung may have finished finalizing the hardware of the Tab S10 Lite and has now shifted its focus to software testing. The brand is currently testing the One UI software for the slate with the build number \u201cX406BXXU0AYF9.\u201d This marks the second major appearance of the slate following a listing on Geekbench a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n
Interestingly, the device tested on the company\u2019s server was running Android 15-based One UI 7. This probably isn\u2019t the final software build. We can expect the company to ship the slate with the newer One UI 8 software out of the box.<\/p>\n
Galaxy Tab S10 Lite: What do we know so far?<\/p>\n
According to Geekbench, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite could utilize the company\u2019s in-house Exynos 1380 processor, which will be accompanied by 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The slate allegedly managed to achieve a single-core score of 782 points and a multi-core score of 2,637 points on Geekbench. So we are looking at the performance levels of a mid-range device.<\/p>\n
Samsung will probably position the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite below the Galaxy Tab S10 FE lineup. So far, the reports indicate that Samsung will likely launch the affordable tablet alongside the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra in October. There\u2019s a possibility that the company will launch the device without an event by simply listing it on its website. Launching the budget tablet alongside the flagship models doesn\u2019t make much sense.
