It seems the company will finally make it a reality by soon launching an “FE” variant of its Z Flip 7. Previous reports already pointed to Exynos hardware in this particular model. Now, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has been listed on a popular benchmark, pulling back the curtain on its core processor.

For those wondering about the power behind Samsung’s more accessible clamshell, the results are now in. The benchmark listing confirms that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will indeed be powered by the Exynos 2400. However, whispers suggest it’s likely the Exynos 2400e, a slightly underclocked version of the same silicon. This is a remarkable detail, as this very chip also powers the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. So, performance-wise, the Flip 7 FE will be a cousin to that Fan Edition phone.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE to be powered by Exynos 2400e chip, Geekbench confirms

So, what kind of punch does this chip pack in a foldable form factor? The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE achieved a single-core score of around 1,940 points and a multi-core score of approximately 6,136 points on Geekbench. These numbers indicate strong performance for its price range. The device will potentially be able to offer smooth multitasking, capable gaming, and power efficiency.

The benchmark also confirms that there will be an 8GB RAM variant of the device. This is one of the compromises that those looking for a more affordable Z Flip will have to accept. However, there will likely be at least a 12GB RAM version. Of course, the handset runs on Android 16 (with One UI 8 on top).

The choice of the Exynos 2400 (or its ‘e’ variant) for the Z Flip 7 FE is an interesting one. It allows Samsung to offer a familiar flagship-tier performance experience, similar to what S24 FE users enjoy, but within the more affordable foldable segment. The firm seems to be becoming a big fan of this SoC due to how potentially profitable it is. Early leaks about the Galaxy S25 FE suggest that the hardware will appear there again.

Samsung is all set to hold its second Unpacked event of 2025. It will take place on July 9, and there we’ll meet the first ‘FE’ device in the company’s foldable lineup.

      Samsung Galaxy Reserve

$50 in Samsung Credit
3x Reward Points on your pre-order
Entered to win $5,000

       Sign up at Samsung

The post Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE Benchmark Shows Exynos Chip Performance appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

The idea of a clamshell-like foldable from Samsung has generated a lot of interest.
