Why is there no microSD card slot on the Galaxy Z Flip 7?<\/p>\n
As with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, there are mainly two reasons for ditching the card slot. First, Samsung likely wants to gain more valuable internal space on the phone. The company uses that space either to integrate more components or to slim down the device. Second, microSD card speeds are much slower than those of internal storage. The South Korean giant doesn\u2019t want users to associate any performance issues related to using such cards with any device issues.<\/p>\n
That said, those who need more space have a few alternatives available. First, there\u2019s the widely used cloud storage from your favorite provider. There\u2019s also support for external storage via the Galaxy Z Flip 7\u2019s USB-C port.
