The official unveiling is still many months away. Meanwhile, a new report suggests a significant camera upgrade for the super-slim Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge.

The latest information comes from WinFuture, citing its information from “relevant databases.” According to the source, Samsung is internally labeling the Galaxy S26 series project as “Next Paradigm.” This follows the Galaxy S25 series, which was known internally as “Paradigm,” hinting at a natural evolution.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series listings reveal 50MP ultra-wide camera for “Edge” model

The database listings reveal three distinct models: NPA1, NPA2, and NPA3. The most interesting details seem to revolve around the NPA2 model, which is the second step in the upcoming series. Interestingly, earlier rumors and more recent reports suggest that Samsung might be shaking up its lineup by replacing the traditional Galaxy S26 Plus model with the super-thin Galaxy S26 Edge. Basically, everything points out to the current S25+ will be the last “Plus” model in the history of the series.

If the latest reports hold true, the Galaxy S26 Edge is set to receive a substantial camera upgrade. WinFuture indicates the phone will feature a new 50MP ultra-wide camera sensor. This would be a significant jump from the 12MP ultra-wide cameras found on the current Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Edge. The potential improvement promises far more detail and improved performance for wide-angle shots.

Not many additional details on other models

As for the other models, there isn’t much information yet on the base Galaxy S26 (NPA1). The top-tier NPA3 model, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is expected to carry a powerful 200MP main camera sensor and a 50MP telephoto camera. This seems to largely mirror the rear camera specifications of the S25 Ultra. However, rumors around the S26 Ultra’s 200MP sensor are conflicting. Some earlier leaks pointed to improvements in new lenses covering the current ISOCELL 200MP sensor, while a more recent report suggests Samsung might be using an entirely new 200MP sensor developed by Sony. It is still too early to confirm which of these details will prove accurate, though.

Galaxy Ring 2 could arrive alongside the Galaxy S26 devices

Finally, the report also mentioned a “Next Smart Ring,” hinting at a potential launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series. This suggests Samsung might expand its wearable ecosystem with its next major smartphone release.
The post Galaxy S26 Edge Leak Reveals Powerful New Ultra-Wide Camera appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

A fresh wave of leaks is offering a new glimpse into Samsung’s next flagship smartphone lineup: the Galaxy S26 series.
