The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 is now available, and it\u2019s the first smartwatch on the market with Wear OS 6. That\u2019s Google\u2019s newest version of Wear OS, which does bring in Material 3 Expressive. However, the Galaxy Watch 8 isn\u2019t quite ready to handle this redesign. <\/p>\n

Some users may end up with compatibility issues out of the box for the Galaxy Watch 8 series, especially if you\u2019re using it with an Android 16 QPR1 beta device like a Pixel 9. However, these compatibility issues shouldn\u2019t last long, as the stable version of Android 16 QPR1 is slated to rollout in September. <\/p>\n

With One UI 8 Watch, which is based on Wear OS 6, Samsung did do some redesigning of its own. Which has been quite polarizing since it was announced. Now, these squircle watches with circular displays are getting pill-shaped tiles. Which really shows how much Samsung loves their shapes. But tiles are also scrollable now. So with the Samsung Health Tile, you can scroll vertically to see more data. <\/p>\n
