Back in 2021, OnePlus announced its OnePlus 9 series, the first mobile phone to have a collaboration with Hasselblad. OPPO later started integrating it into its flagship smartphones. The merger of resources and R&D between OnePlus and OPPO made this possible. The OPPO-Hasselblad collaboration was meant to end this year, but it is now getting extended.<\/p>\n

The initial agreement between OPPO and Hasselblad was meant for 3 years. Subsequently, the partnership was bound to end in Q1 2025. But since the Find X8 and OnePlus 13 series were already launched, we did not get to see any real-world implications of it. <\/p>\n
However, as we move closer towards the release of OPPO\u2019s 2025 flagships, the talks about the partnership with Hasselblad have started to rise. Reports from last year had even suggested that we were not going to see any further Hasselblad integration. But the brand has now suddenly announced an extension.<\/p>\n
The agreement is now extended<\/p>\n
OPPO has officially announced in its press release that the partnership with Hasselblad is now extended. The term for the new agreement has not been announced yet. However, the brand says that they\u2019re jointly developing a next-gen imaging flagship that will set a new benchmark for mobile photography. More details about it will be revealed later this year. OPPO is also working on its imaging tech, namely Lumo, and how it will coexist with Hasselblad is yet to be seen.<\/p>\n
