Officially hitting the US market on July 29, the LG StandbyME 2 is a portable smart touchscreen that sits atop a pole. This makes it an ideal device for presentations and various other scenarios. However, it can also be detached and used for any number of other things, too. The world is your oyster here, so to speak, because you could really use this thing for whatever your mind comes up with. Assuming that something involves smart touchscreen technology.

The LG StandbyME 2 US launch begins, with delivery happening as early as July 31

You can purchase the new smart touchscreen right now if you’re so inclined. If you do so, it could show up as early as July 31. LG is offering fast shipping with the display, though this will most certainly cost a little extra, and times may vary depending on your location. You could also just stick with the free shipping option. In which case, LG says delivery happens by August 5. This date may also vary by location.

As for the cost, the StandbyME 2 retails for a hefty $1,299.99. That seems mostly reasonable, though, given what this device is meant for and what it’s capable of. It’s powered by LG’s webOS TV platform, so it has the same software that you’ll find in LG’s smart TVs. In fact, you could use this like a TV if you’re streaming content. It could also be used as a portable display for something like a Nintendo Switch 2 or PS5. Plus, the StandbyME 2 has up to 4 hours of battery life for video playback, LG says. Which means, it could serve you well as an actual portable display when needed.

The StandbyME 2 also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for enhanced visuals and sound. Additionally, you can use it vertically or horizontally. Obviously, if you’re looking for a proper TV to use as a TV for stationary, at-home entertainment, this isn’t what you should probably go for. Not to mention, you could easily find TVs with larger screens for around the same price. However, if you want a display that could be used at home and elsewhere, this might be right up your alley.
The post This battery-powered LG display goes where your couch won’t appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

The LG StandbyME 2 is entering its US launch period, with the company having officially rolled out the screen on […]

[1

post-17430","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
