But it looks like another brand might be jumping on this trend first. According to a new leak, a mid-range smartphone called the Nubia Air is on its way. And the device seems to have been designed with Apple’s future plans in mind.

The latest information comes from the highly reliable tipster @evleaks. The leaker has been pretty busy recently with major Pixel 10 series leaks but still found time to drop details on a “lower impact” device. The leak suggests that while the Nubia Air borrows the name and a key design philosophy from the rumored iPhone 17 Air, it’s not a flagship phone. Instead, it’s an affordable mid-range device.

Nubia Air could launch before Apple’s own iPhone 17 Air

The main selling point, of course, is its thinness. It won’t be as incredibly slim as the rumored 5.5mm thickness of the iPhone 17 Air. However, the Nubia Air will still sport a very respectable 6.7mm body. For an affordable device, that’s a significant achievement that would make it stand out in its price category. Plus, despite its focus on a thin design, the Nubia Air is expected to pack a substantial 5,000mAh battery, which could be a rarity for such a slim device.

Nubia Air iPhone 17 Air render design leak 1

Nubia Air iPhone 17 Air live image design leak

The rest of the specs are more modest, as you’d expect from a mid-range phone. It will reportedly feature a decent 6.78-inch OLED screen and be powered by a UNISOC T8300 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The camera system also fits its affordable nature, with a 50MP main sensor and two auxiliary sensors (2MP and 0.08MP). However, a 20MP front-facing camera should be more than enough for decent selfies.

There are no details yet on the phone’s price tag. But it probably won’t be too expensive. Nubia already has a track record of producing devices of this style with decent value.
The post This Android Brand Wants to Launch an „iPhone 17 Air” Before Apple appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Apple is widely rumored to be getting rid of its “Plus” iPhone models in favor of a new, ultra-thin “Air” […]

[1

post-17574","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
