Google has debuted a new charger on the Google Store with the Pixel 10 series today. This is a new 67W dual-port USB-C charger, which has the same sort of design as the 45W charger from last year. It\u2019s an elongated look, that should keep it from falling out of outlets. And it\u2019s small, making it great for traveling. <\/p>\n
What sets this charger apart from other USB-C chargers is the fact that it will intelligently prioritize Pixel phones over other device that is plugged in. <\/p>\n
Google has included USB PD 3.2 PPS, which means that it will also work well with Samsung\u2019s devices, which also use PPS for safety. If you use a single port on this charger, it\u2019ll max out at 67W. If you use both ports, you\u2019ll get up to 60W on either port. Or up to 67.5W combined when you use both ports. <\/p>\n
This new charger isn\u2019t going to be cheap. Google is selling it for $59.99. Which is about the same price as a lot of other first-party USB-C chargers from other manufacturers. It\u2019s available for pre-order now, and currently showing estimated ship dates of September 4-5. <\/p>\n
Works great with the new Pixel 10 series<\/p>\n
This new charger does work great with the new Pixel 10 series, but you can, of course, use other USB-C chargers if you wish. Remember, the Pixel 10 series charges at up to 45W (and that\u2019s limited to the Pixel 10 Pro XL), so other chargers that support USB-C PD and PPS up to 45W will work perfectly fine here. Including the Samsung charger. <\/p>\n
The Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are available for pre-order now and will start shipping next week. The official Google Pixel 10 release date is August 28.
