The REDMAGIC 11 Pro has reportedly been put through a benchmark test recently, and the results of that test seem to signify that REDMAGIC may not be going with Qualcomm\u2019s top-of-the-line flagship chipset for its new phone. This would be a first for REDMAGIC, which has generally put whatever top-end chipset Qualcomm offered that year in its latest gaming phone. For instance, the REDMAGIC 10 Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. As does the REDMAGIC Astra tablet. Presumably, the company would use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 in its new Pro phone coming in 2026. However, that might not be the case.<\/p>\n
According to the leaked benchmark, the REDMAGIC 11 Pro will come with a chipset that clocks in with a lower score than the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This is leading some to believe this could be a different Snapdragon chipset than the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. That being said, Abihishek Yadav on X, which posted the leak initially, suggests this is the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. That being said, the score seems a little low for that.<\/p>\n

This hasn\u2019t been confirmed, of course, but it\u2019s logical and it makes sense. What doesn\u2019t make sense is that Qualcomm\u2019s upcoming flagship chipset would have lower scores than its predecessor. Wccftech makes a good point with this, suggesting that this could be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip instead. This chip would offer close to flagship-level performance but at a mid-range cost.<\/p>\n
This other chip from Qualcomm is rumored to be one of the new high-end chips it releases for devices in 2026. If that is the case, that could explain the lower scores on the Geekbench 6 benchmark. <\/p>\n
According to the benchmark results, the \u201cnubia NX809J,\u201d as it\u2019s labeled, received a single-core score of 3,209. The multi-core score is listed at 10,742. Finally, the OpenCL score is listed at 22,691. In addition to these scores being lower than the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the chipset also has lower maximum clock clock frequency. As of now, the max clock frequency of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is rumored to be around 4.74GHz. However, this value is 4.19GHz in the benchmark results for this upcoming device. This doesn\u2019t definitively mean this isn\u2019t a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. It does make it seem a little more unlikely, though. More details could surface at Qualcomm\u2019s upcoming Snapdragon Summit in September.<\/p>\n
