Now, a new animation has surfaced that provides the clearest look yet at its unique design, corroborating previous leaks and offering a detailed view of how Samsung\u2018s next generation will fold and unfold.<\/p>\n

The animation, provided by @TechHighest on X\/Twitter, provides a clear view of the phone\u2018s complex folding mechanism. Unlike current models, which fold in half, the Galaxy Z tri-fold unfolds into a large, three-panel screen. This design allows for both a tablet-like viewing experience and a compact smartphone form factor when closed.<\/p>\n

The video shows the phone folding from its open state, with the right panel folding inward, followed by the left panel folding in on top. Samsung won\u2019t be the first to release a phone with this form factor, though. Huawei got ahead of the game with the Mate XT and even released an improved version this year: the Huawei Mate XTs.<\/p>\n
Going back to Samsung\u2019s tri-fold device, the animation also highlights a key camera feature. The tri-fold design allows users to use the main, heavy-duty camera array for high-quality selfies. This removes the need for a separate, smaller front-facing camera. The functional detail has become a key differentiator across many high-end foldable devices.<\/p>\n
The animations are not a physical representation of the final product.
