October 1-3 we\u2019ll host\u00a0Deep Dive: Data Governance, bringing together world-class experts to explore responsible and systematic access to data in AI systems. This virtual event will highlight how Open Source principles must guide the governance of data\u2014and by extension, AI\u2014to ensure transparency, equity, and accessibility. Next, OSI is proudly hosting a track on October 14 at\u00a0All Things Open (ATO), where we\u2019ll lead several sessions on the policy and practice of Open Source. From\u00a0Licensing 201\u00a0with Deb Bryant, to\u00a0Sustaining Open Source\u00a0with Ruth Suehle, to important panels on\u00a0Cybersecurity,\u00a0AI\/Data Governance\u00a0(Katie Steen-James and Nick Vidal), and the\u00a0State of \u201cOpen\u201d AI\u00a0(Gabriel Toscano), this year\u2019s program promises both depth and breadth. These conversations will connect OSI\u2019s mission\u2014freedom, collaboration, and openness\u2014to some of the most urgent policy challenges facing our ecosystem.<\/p>\n
