Samsung has an Android XR headset in its pipeline, and everyone is waiting for its launch. These days, reports around the new headset have been flowing in from everywhere. Last month, a report from South Korea pointed out its approximate price tag. While that report included that Samsung will launch the device on September 29 at a Korea-limited Unpacked event, a fresh report now hints at a delayed launch. Now, two images of Samsung\u2019s Android XR Headset have surfaced online.<\/p>\n

Folks over at The Elec took the images seen below at Qualcomm\u2019s 2025 Snapdragon Summit event. The headset was apparently on display at the event. Although a few leaks have passed on images of the headset, the latest images give us a closer look at Samsung\u2019s upcoming XR headset.<\/p>\n

As seen in the images below, the rear portion of the headset is clearly visible, with a strap attached, which is meant to keep it intact when a user wears it. While the lenses of the XR Headset are visible in the image, it\u2019s unclear what they hide underneath. Qualcomm didn\u2019t share anything at the event about these headsets, nor have we heard anything from Samsung.<\/p>\n

Since the device is on display at Qualcomm\u2019s event, we are looking at the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset for it. Based on earlier reports, Samsung\u2019s XR headset will feature the OLEDoS (OLED on Silicon) display from Sony. The Elec also reported about the participation of Samsung and Google in the second day (today) of the event. So, we might get some more details about the headset.<\/p>\n

The headset will reportedly be more affordable than Apple\u2019s Vision Pro<\/p>\n

According to previously surfaced details, the price of a headset can range from $1800 to $2900. If true, it will be far more affordable than Apple\u2019s Vision Pro headset, which is aggressively priced at $3500. As far as supplies are concerned, reports from back in July suggested that Samsung has projected to ship only 100,000 units of these headsets.
