What\u2019s interesting is that Perplexity\u2019s Comet browser is free for all. This move is possibly to lure you over other browsers.<\/p>\n

Perplexity says that Comet had millions of interested users who had signed up for the waitlist. \u201cIt has become the most sought-after AI product of the year, no matter how fast we release invites,\u201d said the company. The Comet browser works by combining the company\u2019s search-focused personal AI assistant and usual web browsing features.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve been waiting for the Perplexity Comet browser, you can download it from the official website. However, it\u2019s not available on Apple\u2019s App Store or the Microsoft Store for Windows devices.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Perplexity also confirmed to launch the Comet mobile app \u201csoon,\u201d but a specific timeline has not been revealed. It, however, said that it will make Comet \u201cavailable on any device, with a personal AI designed for your phone.\u201d This means an iPhone and Android version of the Comet browser will be out soon, possibly at a similar time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Other AI upgrades include Background Assistants, which, according to Perplexity, will work for you \u201csimultaneously and asynchronously, so you can focus on what matters.\u201d This comes soon after it launched the new Email Assistant, which is available for its Max subscribers.<\/p>\n

Curated news content is coming to Comet Plus users. If you don\u2019t have a Perplexity subscription, you\u2019ll have to shell out $5 per month to access the news content. The first batch of publishing partners includes CNN, Conde Nast, Fortune, Le Figaro, Le Monde, The Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post.
