Now that the Google Pixel 10 series has been in users\u2019 hands for a little over a month, we\u2019re starting to see some other bugs surfacing with Google\u2019s latest flagship phones. This time around, it comes down to the Electronic Image Stabilization or EIS. <\/p>\n
Essentially, a software bug is causing jittery video on the Google Pixel 10 series telephoto cameras. This isn\u2019t just happening in the camera app, but essentially any camera app that uses the Google EIS API. <\/p>\n
Now, while this is a software bug, it\u2019s unlikely to get fixed anytime soon. As the October update has already been pushed out. So users will have to wait until November to potentially get a fix. <\/p>\n
A somewhat fix right now is to turn off stabilization in the camera app. Which kind of sucks, because your camera is going to be jittery then anyway. But it is at least a way to get around this issue for now. <\/p>\n
These issues should not exist on a $1,000 smartphone<\/p>\n
Issues like this should definitely not exist on a smartphone that costs $1,000. Especially after being tested for many months before even being sent out to reviewers. But this is quite common for Google. <\/p>\n
We named the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL in our best Android Phones list as the best camera phone, though now we are starting to rethink that, due to this issue. Because if you can use image stabilization, then that really affects how you use the camera, especially when it comes to video. <\/p>\n
If you are noticing this issue, make sure to let Google know. The more people that complain about it, the faster Google is likely to fix it. As some Reddit users have noticed, this is affecting more than just the Pixel 10 lineup as well.
