{"id":18524,"date":"2025-10-08T21:33:39","date_gmt":"2025-10-08T19:33:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/plus.maciejpiasecki.info\/index.php\/2025\/10\/08\/a-season-of-change-at-osi\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T22:08:00","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T20:08:00","slug":"a-season-of-change-at-osi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plus.maciejpiasecki.info\/index.php\/2025\/10\/08\/a-season-of-change-at-osi\/","title":{"rendered":"A Season of Change at\u00a0OSI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Members Newsletter \u2013 October 2025<\/p>\n<p>Dear Open Source Initiative supporters,<\/p>\n<p>Welcome to our OSI October newsletter.\u00a0 In this edition we\u2019ll share how we spent our September and highlight our upcoming October activities.\u00a0 As always, if you\u2019re interested in more information about anything we\u2019re working on, just drop us a note.<\/p>\n<p>As summer closes and we return to the quieter rhythm of fall, I\u2019m particularly grateful for the support of our community, industry, universities and civil society organizations supporting and amplifying our work.\u00a0 In August I accepted an invitation from the OSI board to work with outgoing Executive Director Stefano Maffulli, making way for the board to begin the process of\u00a0searching for their next executive director.\u00a0 I\u2019ve personally committed the coming months to supporting the OSI team and our stakeholders as Interim ED.\u00a0 The board has established a search committee and expects to open a public search later this month.<\/p>\n<p>Stefano\u2019s final project on OSI\u2019s behalf \u2013\u00a0Deep Dive: Data Governance\u00a0 \u2013 was an extraordinary gathering and exchange by notable practitioners, researchers, and project leads.\u00a0 The event followed months of work on the part of a range of civil society stakeholders that formed the program committee and reviewed hundreds of submitted papers.
