Apparently the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G will sport a 4,000mAh capacity battery. Which is rather impressive, considering the small(ish) size of the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G.
This is according to a post on Reddit, which also has a picture of the two devices side-by-side. The Pixel 5 does look a bit smaller, but not all that much smaller. Keep in mind that the difference in screen size is pretty minor. Compared to other devices. Both of them are pretty small too.
As we’ve been hearing, the „Pixel 5 XL” is actually a Pixel 4a 5G. Which is why that one is a bit larger.
There are more specs leaked here
This reddit users also posted some other specs, which are really not all that surprising.
On top of the 4,000mAh capacity battery, Pixel 5 will also sport a 0.5x wide angle lens and then a 1x standard lens. It’s going to be the same main lens as the Pixel 4, as expected.
There’s a 12.2-megapixel sensor on the back, and 8-megapixel on the front.
It’s still sporting the Snapdragon 765G chipset. It also includes 8GB of RAM, and a 60Hz/90Hz display. It’ll likely be variable like the Pixel 4 is.
It’s going to sport a plastic back with fingerprint sensor, much like the Pixel 4a does. And there’s no headphone jack, unlike the Pixel 4a.
Many of these specs here are what we expected. We expected Google to stick with the same main sensor on the Pixel 5, and go with ultra-wide. Which is what we also heard on Friday from another leak.
The Snapdragon 765G has been rumored for quite some time, to power both devices. As these are going to be 5G devices, there weren’t many choices for Google here. Though the 8GB of RAM is a nice surprise, and it’s likely something that is going to go ahead and help differentiate the Pixel 5 from the Pixel 4a 5G. Considering the two are using the same chipset.
Some might say it’s surprising to see the Pixel 5 sport a 4000mAh battery in that small footprint – it’s pretty much the same size as the Pixel 4a – but it can be done. The Galaxy S20 is about the same size, and uses a 4,000mAh cell as well. This is a big upgrade for the Pixel this year, considering it shipped a similar sized Pixel 4 with a meager 2800mAh capacity battery last year.

The post Google Is Outfitting The Pixel 5 A Grown Up Sized Battery appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

The Google Pixel 5 is set to launch next month, and specs are really starting to come out.
