Amazon now has the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 available for pre-order. There’s no discount in buying it from Amazon, but you do get that Prime shipping, once it releases on September 18.
\nThe only downside to ordering it from Amazon, is that it is only available in Mystic Bronze. Which is the better color, honestly. Since the Mystic Black is not a matte finish and will show all of your fingerprints.
\nThis particular model is unlocked, and does work on all three US networks \u2013 Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile in the US.
\nSamsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 2 earlier this month, and it is pretty incredible. Our review will be out tomorrow, and you can read all about it then. But it is turning into a really great device. Even if it is $2,000.
\nWith the Galaxy Z Fold 2, you’re getting a foldable smartphone that has a main 7.6-inch display, and then a 6.2-inch cover display. Allowing you to have a smartphone-sized display and then open it up to a tablet-sized display. Which is really nice to have.
\nIt is powered by the Snapdragon 865+ chipset, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is also triple cameras on the back, all of which are 12-megapixels. They are the wide, ultra-wide and telephoto sensors. Both displays have a 10-megapixel sensor too, for those selfies. Of course, you can also just flip the phone around and take a selfie with the rear cameras, which is a much better option.
\nThis is all powered by a 4500mAh capacity battery, that is located in either side of the phone \u2013 so basically, there’s two batteries. And it does a good job of keeping it charged all day long.
\nThis is still a foldable from Samsung, and not your typical smartphone. So you may run into some bugs, since this is only a second-generation product at this point. And it’s a brand new form-factor. But the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is turning out to be a really popular device, with pre-orders selling out in a lot of places. So if you are looking to pick one up, you might want to do it sooner rather than later.
