The July 2021 Android security patch is currently rolling out for the 2019 Galaxy flagships in the Czech Republic. It should reach more territories over the next few days.
The July update for the Galaxy S10, S10e, and the S10+ comes with the firmware version G97xxXXSBFUF3. We don’t have a changelog handy to confirm the contents of the new software but judging by the PDA version, it’s unlikely to bring anything else apart from the latest security maintenance release (SMR).
We don’t know what vulnerabilities have been fixed with this month’s SMR either. Google usually publishes the latest security bulletin on the first Monday of the new month. So we should get to know that soon. We will let you know as soon as we have that information.
Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series starts picking up the July security update
Samsung has been crushing it in terms of software updates lately. Over the past couple of years, the Korean behemoth has consistently beaten most other Android OEMs in releasing the latest available security patch to its devices. More often than not, it has released the new patch days before we flip the calendar to the new month. The story remains the same for the July 2021 Android security patch as well.
The latest beneficiaries of this impressive run from the world’s numero uno smartphone maker are the Galaxy S10 owners. If you own this 2019 Galaxy flagship and live in the Czech Republic, you should now be on the lookout for the new update. A notification prompting you to download the new software could hit your phone anytime now.
Of course, you can also manually trigger the update regardless of whether you receive the notification or not. That’s only if the new software has been released for your phone though. Head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install to see if an OTA (over the air) update is available. If there’s no update available, it should show up soon.
Galaxy S10 users in other parts of the world can also expect to get the July 2021 Android security update over the next couple of weeks. The latest security patch will also certainly hit many other Galaxy smartphones over the course of this month.
The post July Security Update Is Already Rolling Out For The Galaxy S10 Series appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Just a day after the June security patch rolled out to the US carrier variants of the Galaxy S10 series, […]

[1

post-8022","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
