Notably, after the new update, owners of some OPPO phone models will be able to virtually expand RAM on their devices.
FYI, over a month ago, OPPO launched its technology called “Memory Expansion Technology” and “RAM Expansion” in Singapore. Fast forward to now, the company is now rolling out this technology called RAM+ to select markets.
To be specific, this OPPO memory expansion tech called RAM+ is now available in Middle Eastern and African Markets. The RAM+ feature works just as the name implies.
Apparently, this lets you increase or expand the RAM (Random Access Memory) on your phone. As already mentioned, this update will be live for some OPPO phone models.
Now, the question arises how does this tech work? Basically, it is done by converting some of the phone’s storage or ROM (Read Only Memory) into virtual RAM.
So, if you want a faster phone, you need to have more RAM. And if you want more storage on your phone, then you should have more ROM, which makes up for space for storing your media and files.
OPPO virtual RAM technology allows three levels of adjustments
Users will be able to convert a specific portion of their ROM into virtual memory. The best part is that you do not need any additional hardware. This feature is arriving via a new update.
More RAM will not only boost your phone’s efficiency, but it also means that your phone will become speedier, open apps faster, lag-free multitasking. However, all these goodies will be available only temporarily.
And by temporarily we mean, OPPO virtual RAM technology allows users three levels of RAM adjustments. You will get as much as 7GB of additional RAM.
OPPO RAM+ memory feature will be available for users with the June 2021 update. As far as the supported models are concerned, for now, only the Reno5 Series, OPPO A94, and OPPO A74 are supported.
As noted by PhoneArena, once you have installed the OPPO virtual RAM update on your phone, all you need to do is head over to the “About Phone” section under the Settings menu. There you will find the new RAM+ option.
Tapping on it will ask you to select the amount of RAM you want. After entering all the required input, you will be asked to restart your phone. Finally, after rebooting, you will have expanded virtual RAM on your phone.
The post With New Update OPPO Will Allow Owners To Virtually Expand RAM appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

OPPO is rolling out a new update that will allow users to do something which seems pretty interesting.
