The time is nigh. Punishing: Gray Raven, a sci-fi themed anime action RPG for mobile, will release globally next week for players on both Android and iOS devices. The game is set in a distant dystopian future.\u00a0 And you must fight back against a deadly biomechanical virus that has brought humanity down to devastating levels.
\nThe game is already being likened to similar games like Genshin Impact. Though the similarities mostly end with the fact that both games are action RPGs and they feature anime-style visuals.
\nGenshin Impact is completely open world and carries a fantasy theme. It does also have a gacha system in tact for acquiring new characters, which is something you can expect from Punishing: Gray Raven as well.
\nPunishing: Gray Raven will release in the US on July 16
\nHaving spent a little bit of time with the game already, I can tell you from personal experience that gameplay is pretty cool. It won\u2019t be for everyone as not everyone enjoys these types of games. But if action RPGs are your thing then definitely give it a try once it launches next week.
\nYou can also pre-register for the game through Google Play and the App Store right now. This way you know the moment that the game goes live on your preferred platform of choice. Should it happen to launch early as mobile games sometimes do.
\nThere are already over 300,000 pre-registrations confirmed, and the more there are the better the rewards will be. So if you haven\u2019t already pre-registered you may want to do so. As the gifted items will definitely be useful for your gameplay later on.
\nThere\u2019s support for both gamepads and mouse & keyboard
\nKuro Game says there\u2019s full gamepad support that was built-in. So if you don\u2019t care for touchscreen controls, connect a gamepad and go to town.
\nYou should be able to use just about any mobile gamepad out there, including the Razer Kishi, the ROG Kunai Gamepad 3, and others. You can also use controllers like the Xbox wireless controller, the DualShock 4, and the DualSense depending on your preferences.
\nThere\u2019s even support for mouse and keyboard, if you happen to have ones that you can sync to your mobile device. Having said all that, the touchscreen controls are really quite good.
