The company has teamed up with ASUS to create the Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders. This news comes to us from the Qualcomm website.
Yes, the name is actually Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders
Though most chip manufacturers are still feeling the sting of the global chip shortage, Qualcomm and ASUS just came out of the woodwork with this new device. It will definitely have some pretty powerful specs.
Display and Processor
For starters, it will have a 6.78 inch AMOLED display at 2440 x 1080 resolution. This display will run at a crazy 144Hz and it’s certified for HDR10 and HDR10+. It’s also covered in Gorilla Glass Victus. The display is rated for a peak brightness of 1,200 nits.
This phone will obviously be using a Snapdragon chip, the 888 5G accompanied by the Adreno 660 GPU. That will be backed up by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This means that there’s shouldn’t be any problems with performance.
Camera package
Another area of focus for this phone is the camera. It will have a triple rear camera setup. The main camera will be a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor. There will also be a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom. The front facing camera will be a 24-megapixel sensor.
The camera will be able to capture 4K video at 60fps. It will also be able to record 8K video at 30fps. There’s a neat auto tracking feature that crops into the subject and follows it as it moves.
Battery and software
The Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders will have an underwhelming 4,000 mAh battery in tow. The battery life will definitely suffer because of the large display, especially if pushed to the max brightness. This battery will be charged by a 65Watt charger that will come in the box.
This device will ship with Android 11, but neither company has indicated any plans to update the phone to Android 12.
The smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders will have some neat features
As companies remove more items that come in the box, the Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders will come with a fair amount of accessories. For starters, it will come with a pair of truly wireless earbuds. Along with the 65Watt charger, there will also be a phone case, a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB A cable.
This phone will be compatible with really fast signals. It will be 5G compatible and WiFi 6 compatible. The phone will use Qualcomm Sound for enhanced audio.
If you are a member of the Snapdragon Insiders program, this phone will be available to purchase for a whopping $1,500. There’s no word on when this phone will be launched.

The post ASUS And Qualcomm Developed A Phone For Snapdragon Insiders appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

With the rise of more OEMs developing their own chipsets, Qualcomm might find itself in some hot water before too […]

[1

post-8090","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
