The company made waves when it introduced Windows 11 to the public. Flipping the script with the overall look and feel of the software.
According to Microsoft, there are going to be specific and strict hardware specifications that your computer needs to meet in order to run Windows 11. If you want to learn more about the software, here’s everything you need to know about Windows 11.
There’s no way of getting around the Windows 11 hardware requirements
Windows 11 is great, but it’d be even greater if your computer can actually run it. In a Q&A video held by Microsoft, it was made clear that there’s no getting around the barricade between Windows 10 and Windows 11.
There’s a workaround that some tech-savvy individuals have suggested. In order to get the software to work on unsupported hardware, you can simply change your Windows 10 group policy. In there, people hope to be able to change certain advanced settings in the software. Microsoft, however, has thought of that and crushed that theory.
Aria Carley, the Microsoft program manager, layed out why Microsoft is implementing these restrictions. Basically, it’s so that the hardware can run smoothly and so that users can maintain productivity and high security. Also, any sort of lag in the software could damage the narrative that Windows 11 is this super-fast, smooth, and seamless experience.
Here are the hardware specifications your computer needs to meet
Some of the hardware requirements aren’t too robust, so a fair amount of computers should be able to run Windows 11. Starting off with the more straightforward specs, your computer will need to have at least 4GB of RAM and at least 64GB of storage.
Oddly enough, there’s a screen resolution requirement. Your display will need to be at least 720p and it needs to be at least 9 inches diagonal. It needs to have at least 8 bits per color channel.
As for other specs, your firmware will need to be Secure Boot capable and have UEFI. You will need at least TMP version 2.0. As for your graphics card, it will need to be compatible with DirectX 12 or later. It will also need to have the WDDM 2.0 driver.
As for the CPU, it will need to be clocked at a minimum of 1GHz with at least 2 cores. The conversation gets more complicated with the list of specific compatible CPUs. Here is the list of compatible AMD CPUs. Here is the list of compatible Intel CPUs. Here’s the list of compatible Qualcomm CPUs.
Windows 11 is going to be available next year, so if your computer doesn’t reach the minimum specifications, then you have plenty of time to upgrade your hardware.
The post Windows 11’s Hardware Requirements Are Set In Stone appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 11 hardware requirements are not going to change.
