And you can do just that with Samsung Pay now.
Samsung Pay announced recently, that you can store your COVID-19 vaccine card inside the app. Like it’s a loyalty or rewards card. It’s pretty easy to do, but not everyone will be able to do it. As Samsung worked with CommonHealth for this, and not MyChart which is much more widely used for health records. Of course, there is the fact that health records are usually more private, and not everyone will want to make this public.
You can also do this with Google Pay and Apple Pay, however, they are a bit different to do. And actually, Google Pay is currently only allowing this in California and Australia. Samsung Pay’s only restriction is, whether your health provider works with the CommonHealth app.
How To Add Your COVID-19 Vaccine Card To Samsung Pay
To get started, open the Samsung Pay app.
Next, tap on the “Home” tab on the left.
Towards the top, you’ll see “Covid-19 Vaccine Pass”. Tap on that.
This will open the CommonHealth app.
Next, you’ll need to find your health provider that you visit.
Note: Unfortunately, CommonHealth is not as popular as the MyChart app. So you may not find your hospital network listed there. For example, mine is not available and thus I cannot add my card to the Samsung Pay app.
Once you have given the app access to your records, you’ll see the COVID-19 vaccine on record.

Now you’ll be able to click on the “Add to Samsung Pay” link.
And you’re all set.
Now when you want to show your vaccine card, just open Samsung Pay and click on “COVID-19 Vaccine Pass” from the home screen. It’s just that easy.
Currently, it is unclear if other apps will be supported for this. For example, MyChart would have been a good idea for Samsung to work with here, instead of CommonHealth. Since almost all health providers use MyChart. But this is still early, and it’s really not uniform across the US yet.
VaxYes doesn’t work with Samsung Pay
You might be thinking that you could go and get a certificate from VaxYes to add it to Samsung Pay, but that workaround doesn’t work. Unfortunately, VaxYes only works with Apple Wallet. But you can still get your certificate and then take a screenshot and keep it on your phone for when it is needed.
It’s not as easy to add your vaccine card to Samsung Pay as you might expect, if your health provider doesn’t work with the CommonHealth app. But Samsung believes that will change in the coming weeks and months. As more and more providers start using CommonHealth.
The post How To Add Your COVID-19 Vaccine Card To Samsung Pay appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

With more and more places demanding that you be vaccinated or show a negative COVID-19 test, it’s a good idea […]

[1

post-8626","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
