Netflix has apparently released a VR game. Yes, you read that right. Although calling it a game might be a bit of stretch, it looks and feels like a game, however simple it may be. You could also think of it as an interactive experience in virtual reality.
\nThe new VR game from Netflix is called Eden Unearthed, and it\u2019s based on the Eden original anime that you can stream through the service. It\u2019s not as complex as the anime. And you don\u2019t get to interact with the cast of characters from the show like you might imagine.
\nYou do however get to ride around on a bike in a landscape modeled after the show. Essentially, you\u2019re riding around on a motor bike while the game goes through some of the story. And with that, it seems like a great way to get people invested in the Eden anime series. Should they want to learn more about it.
\nTo play the Netflix VR game you\u2019ll need an Oculus Quest
\nAccording to The Streamable, Eden Unearthed is an Oculus Quest game. You should be able\u00a0to play it on both generations of the headset. As Oculus says it\u2019s compatible with both the Quest and the Quest 2. You can find and download the game from the Oculus App Lab. Also worth noting is that the game seems to have been released earlier this year.
\nBut it\u2019s flown under the radar for the most part until now. Eden Unearthed doesn\u2019t cost a thing to download, and it\u2019s completely ad-free. So at the vey least it might be a fun way to pass the time. At most, you\u2019ll enjoy the simple gameplay and then fall in love with the story so much you\u2019ll want to watch the show.
\nBranching out with a wider gaming library
\nEarlier this year Netflix announced officially that it was entering the gaming space. While it won\u2019t be offering the ability to stream AAA titles like Stadia, Game Pass, or GeForce NOW, it is going to offer games in some capacity.
\nIn addition to Eden Unearthed, it\u2019s also released two mobile games based on Stranger Things. And with Netflix branching out into VR, its gaming push is taking an interesting turn.<\/p>\n
