\nDark Mode will essentially turn the entire UI on your smartphone, dark. For the most part, it\u2019s truly black, but some instances will show a dark gray instead. This has a few benefits. One, it saves your eyes in dark environments. But the bigger reason is it saves your battery life. Especially on an OLED smartphone like the Pixel 6 series. Which is a big reason to use dark mode.
\nThere are two ways that you can turn on dark mode on the Pixel 6 series, and you can also set a schedule, we go over all of that in this article.
\nHow to Turn on Dark Mode
\nHere\u2019s how you can turn on Dark Mode through the settings app.
\nHead into the Settings App.
\nNow head down to the Display section and tap on it.
\nNext, find \u201cDark theme\u201d which will be towards the bottom.
\nHit the toggle next to it.
\nAnd that\u2019s it. That\u2019s how easy it is to turn on Dark Mode on the Google Pixel 6.
\nNow, if you do find yourself turning dark mode on and off pretty frequently, you can opt to add it to your Quick Settings. Here\u2019s how you can do that:
\nPull down the notification shade.
\nTap on the pencil icon in the lower-left hand corner.
\nNow find the Dark Mode toggle, and drag it up to the place in Quick Settings that you want it to sit.
\nThen hit the arrow in the upper-left hand corner.
\nAnd that\u2019s it. Now you can turn on and off dark mode by pulling down the Quick Settings panel.
\nHow to Schedule Dark Mode
\nYou can also schedule dark mode on the Pixel 6. You can choose to have it change automatically based on sunset and sunrise, or set to a custom time. And here\u2019s how you can do it:
\nHead into the Settings App.
\nNow head down to the Display section and tap on it.
\nNext, find \u201cDark theme\u201d which will be towards the bottom.
\nTap on \u201cDark Theme\u201d, not the toggle.
\nNext, tap on \u201cSchedule\u201d.
\nYou\u2019ll now see an option for None, Turns on at custom time, and Turns on from sunset to sunrise.
\nChoose the schedule you want to use.
\nAnd you\u2019re all set.
