Vivo NEX 3 Specs Revealed; SD855 Plus SoC & 4,410mAh Battery In Tow

The Vivo NEX 3 specs have just been revealed, though not its full spec sheet. The Vivo NEX 3 got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC).
As part of that certification, quite a few of the Vivo NEX 3 specs got listed. Before we get to it, though, it’s worth noting that both 4G and 5G variants got certified. That means that both are on the way.
Huge OLED display, 12GB of RAM & 4,410mAh battery
The Vivo NEX 3 will feature a 6.89-inch fullHD+ (2256 x 1080) AMOLED display, along with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, depending on the model. Variants with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage will be available according to the listing.
The exact processor hasn’t been listed, but we do know that it will be a 64-bit octa-core processor. We also know that it will be clocked at 2.96GHz. This suggests that we’re looking at the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, which makes sense.
Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Vivo’s custom UI. Three cameras will be placed on the back of the device, with a 64-megapixel primary camera. Two 13-megapixel sensors will also be included on the back.
A 16-megapixel camera will be placed on the front side of the phone. A 4,410mAh battery will also be a part of the package, and it will support fast charging. TENAA did not reveal what charging can we expect, but the phone is rumored to support a whopping 120W charging.
The phone will measure 167.44 x 76.18 x 9.4mm, while it will weigh 218.5 grams. A 3.5mm headphone jack will be included as well, which is quite surprising.
The Vivo NEX 3 comes with a „Waterfall Display”
The device will debut Vivo’s „Waterfall Display”, which comes with an intensive curve on the sides. The Vivo NEX 3 is expected to arrive in September, but we still do not know when exactly.
A seemingly-official video teaser of the Vivo NEX 3 popped up recently. In that teaser, we were able to see the phone itself, and in terms of the design, it’s exactly what leaks have been reporting.
In fact, not long after that teaser, Mrwhosetheboss YouTube channel published an unboxing of the device. No, that channel did not jump the gun, but it got granted exclusive rights to publish that unboxing.
In that video, which has a duration of over six minutes, you can take a really good look at the phone. The phone will be made out of metal and glass, and it seems like it has the highest screen-to-body ratio to date.
The device will feature a pop-up camera, and its 5G capabilities also got shown in the aforementioned video. You can also see some camera samples, and some gaming action in that video, as we’re waiting for the official announcement.
