UFC 242 Streams This Saturday At Special Start Time On ESPN+

UFC 242 is taking place this coming Saturday, September 7. And it’ll be live from The Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Due to the PPV taking place in the Middle East, there is going to be a special start time. The early prelims start at 10:15 AM ET, with the prelims at 12PM ET and the main card starting at 2PM ET.
That’s much earlier than usual, and it’s due to the time difference in Abu Dhabi, versus the US.
Who’s headlining UFC 242?
UFC 242 is another big Pay-Per-View event, and it features Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Dustin Poirier in a UFC Lightweight Championship match. Poirier is the interim lightweight champion, having won that title at UFC 236 by beating Max Holloway, which ended his 13 fight win streak.
The co-main event features Edson Barboza vs Paul Felder. Barboza is ranked number seven  and has been a UFC lightweight and multiple Muay Thai champion. He’s been fighting in the UFC since 2010. He’s also a six-time Fight of the Night Winner. Meanwhile Felder is ranked number ten, and has been a UFC lightweight champion. He also does some commentating duties for the UFC.
How Can I Watch UFC 242?
In the US, UFC 242 is only available on ESPN+. That’s ESPN’s streaming service, which has invested a ton into UFC over the past few years and now holds the rights to all of its PPV’s, as well as many other events like Fight Nights.
If you are an ESPN+ subscriber, you can purchase the PPV for just $54.99. That is actually $10 cheaper than it was when UFC was running the PPVs on its own service.
If you are not an ESPN+ subscriber, you will need to pay $79.99 to get the PPV. That includes a year of ESPN+, which is priced at just $25. That’s a big discount from its regular price. Considering ESPN+ is normally $5 per month or $60 per year.
ESPN+ is a really big deal for those that are big UFC fans. ESPN+ has a ton of programming for the UFC events, not only the PPVs but also Fight Night and Dana White has his own reality show on the service to find the next crop of UFC fighters. So if you’re a UFC fan, then ESPN+ is going to be a must-have subscription for you.
How do I sign up for ESPN+?
Signing up for ESPN+ is pretty simple. You can click this link here, or click the button at the bottom of this post. That will take you to the UFC PPV page to sign up for the $79.99 ESPN+ plan. Remember that includes the PPV plus a year of ESPN+.
After your year is up, it will auto-renew at $49.99 for the next year – that’s still $10 off the regular price, or two months free. So if you don’t want to get another year of ESPN+, then make sure you remember to cancel it, before next September.
Make sure that you sign up for ESPN+ ahead of Saturday. As there could be a lot of people signing up or looking to purchase the UFC PPV, making it tougher to get in as servers could be overworked.
