Save $30 On The Chromecast-Enabled JBL Playlist 150 Speaker

Amazon is shaving $30 off of the regular price of the JBL Playlist 150 speaker. Bringing the price down to just $149.
The JBL Playlist 150 is not a portable speaker, and it’s not a smart speaker, making it a bit of a unicorn in 2019.
Instead, this is a speaker that stays plugged in and just plays music. But what makes the JBL Playlist 150 so special is the fact that it does have Chromecast built-in. So instead of only being able to play music over Bluetooth, you can stream music over WiFi to your JBL Playlist 150, using Chromecast.
Chromecast is really great for this speaker, since WiFi has more bandwidth. Which translates into your music sounding better when using Chromecast versus Bluetooth.
This does also work with other Google Home and Google Assistant smart speakers for multi-room audio. Which you can set up through the Google Home app. Which is definitely a plus.
Now, when it comes to the audio that comes out of the JBL Playlist 150, it sounds really good. If you’ve used anything from JBL in the past, you’re going to know what to expect when it comes to audio quality here. It has that signature JBL sound. Which includes some pretty deep bass, as well as crystal clear mids and highs. Offering a great sound experience.
In addition to Chromecast, Spotify Connect also works with the JBL Playlist 150. Allowing you to play music from your Spotify app, even if you aren’t on the same WiFi network.
Spotify Connect is one of the reasons why I love Spotify so much. You don’t need to worry about connecting to speakers, or opening the speaker app to use Spotify. It’s all available right there in the Spotify app, on every platform.
