Stable Android 10 Coming Soon For Galaxy Note 10, No Beta For Galaxy Fold

Samsung may soon start rolling out the stable Android 10 update for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus. The update will be available before the end of this year, according to a Newsroom post by Samsung Russia. A similar announcement was also made by a community manager at Samsung’s official forum in South Korea.
While no exact dates were revealed, a community member by the name Galaxy3813, who also happens to be a Brand Ambassador at the Samsung Community forum in South Korea, suggested that the update would release before Christmas. The currently running fourth Android 10 beta will reportedly be the last for the Note 10 duo.
The executive, who’s in charge of beta operations, also noted that there are no plans for an Android 10 beta program for the Galaxy Fold. This, however, shouldn’t be too surprising as Samsung’s costliest mobile device has been playing catch-up to the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 as far as software updates are concerned.
Samsung’s decision to not start a beta program for the Galaxy Fold might also have to do with the fact that there aren’t enough Fold owners willing to install beta software. The Fold has limited availability and significantly lower sales figures when compared to other Galaxy flagships. The stable Android 10 update for the Galaxy Fold is scheduled for April next year if we go by Samsung’s official roadmap.
However, Samsung’s official Android 10 roadmaps aren’t much trustworthy. They continue to say that the stable Android 10 update for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 will arrive in January, though the latter received it in November itself. It should not take Samsung till April to release the update for the Galaxy Fold.
Stable Android 10 update for Galaxy Note 10
Samsung has been significantly faster in rolling out software updates for its smartphones this year. It has already released the stable Android 10 update with One UI 2.0 for the Galaxy S10 series. Last year, the company didn’t push out the stable Android 9 Pie update to any of its devices until Christmas.
The Galaxy Note 10 is deservedly the next in the pipeline. The stable update for the S10 series was first released for those who took part in the beta program. However, those who were on Android 9 Pie also got it on the same day. This will hopefully be the case for Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus owners as well. So far, only the Exynos Galaxy S10 models have received the update to Android 10. The same can be expected with the Note 10 series as well.
