1TB Ultimate Edition ASUS ROG Phone II Now Available In The US

ASUS initially launched the ROG Phone II with its standard model carrying 512GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM. It also had an Ultimate Edition coming soon after the initial launch of the standard model with 1TB of storage, and that model is now available in the US.
It has the same amount of RAM which is 12GB so you’re not getting a bump there, but 12GB is plenty anyway so you don’t really need more than that. The other big bump on the Ultimate Edition is the support for up to 2Gbps download speeds on LTE.
So if you live in an area where your carrier gets that kind of coverage out to you, then you’ll benefit from that.
The Ultimate Edition is a little bit more in cost, but double the storage
You do pay more for the Ultimate Edition of the ROG Phone II. Compared to the standard model which costs $899, you’ll pay $1,099. So it costs $200 more but you get double the storage since it goes from 512GB to 1TB.
512GB is already a huge amount of storage for a phone, but 1TB can’t hurt if you’re really using this device for gaming. Some of the biggest games can easily sit at 1GB of space or more and when you start taking pictures, storing music and everything else, the storage starts to really add up.
This is the best version of the best gaming smartphone
ASUS knows gaming and that doesn’t stop at smartphones. The ROG Phone II is a powerhouse packed with all kinds of specs that allow you to play mobile games at their peak with the best possible performance.
We recognized the ROG Phone II as the best gaming phone and the gaming phone to beat in our review. This model is the best version of the phone. So if you’re interested in grabbing the ROG Phone II this is really the model to get.
In addition to the higher storage and better LTE download speed capabilities, the phone comes with a 6.6-inch Full HD display, the Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile platform, a dual camera system on the back, and it’s unlocked so it works with just about any network out there. As long as it’s GSM. It won’t work with Verizon or Sprint or other CDMA networks.
There are other decent gaming phones out there. For example the Razer Phone 2 that we recently reviewed, which is a steal at $350. But if you want the best possible gaming phone and are ok with the cost, this is it.
