These two Philips Hue bulbs are A19 bulbs, but they are not colored bulbs. They are white, tunable bulbs, so you can adjust them from white to a more warm yellowish tint if you wish. But you won’t be able to make these red or purple unfortunately. So do keep that in mind here.
These are the newer Hue bulbs which have Bluetooth and Zigbee support. So you don’t actually need to get the Hue Bridge to use these bulbs. Since they can connect to the Echo Dot and use that as a hub.
The Echo Dot is a small smart speaker from Amazon that has Alexa built-in, naturally. Allowing you to ask Alexa for things like the weather, the traffic and even the latest news headlines. And when it comes to news, Alexa does allow you to customize which sources it pulls news from.
