Samsung Galaxy A30s/Galaxy A50s Now Available In The US & UK

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A30s and the Galaxy A50s smartphones in the US and the UK markets. The handsets are now available to purchase through Amazon in both countries. Samsung’s official online stores are yet to list the devices, though. It’s unclear whether the company has plans to make the handsets available through other third-party retail channels or not.
The 6GB + 128GB variant of the Galaxy A50s is priced at $355.99 in the US, while the 4GB + 64GB variant of the Galaxy A30s is priced at $222. The UK prices of the two devices are set at £297 and £210, respectively. Samsung is not launching the 4GB + 128GB variants of the devices in either market, at least not just yet.
Small but significant upgrades
Samsung announced the Galaxy A30s and the Galaxy A50s smartphones in August this year. The „s” iterations of the existing Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 smartphones primarily bring improvements in the camera department and some design changes.
The Galaxy A50s features a 48-megapixel primary rear camera, up from 25-megapixel on the Galaxy A50. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 5-megapixel depth sensors have carried over unchanged, though.
The Galaxy A50’s 25-megapixel front camera has also been upgraded to a 32-megapixel sensor on the A50s.
The Galaxy A50s also gets a newer Exynos 9611 SoC and offers NFC-based Samsung Pay and the Super Steady camera feature found in Samsung’s flagship devices.
The rest of the specs remain the same as the A50’s. You get a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ Infinity-U display, a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging, an on-screen fingerprint sensor, 4GB/6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of storage.
The Galaxy A30s, meanwhile, sees a downgrade in the display department as it gets an HD+ panel opposed to a Full HD+ display on the Galaxy A30. Samsung has also replaced the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display on the A30 with a similar Infinity-V display on A30s.
The company, however, is making up for the display downgrade with a triple rear camera setup on the Galaxy A30s. The handset gets the same 25+8+5-megapixel rear camera setup as the Galaxy A50. The front camera is still a 16-megapixel sensor.
The Galaxy A30s also gets an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Under the hood is the same Exynos 7904 SoC. The package is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. As far as design changes are concerned, both the devices feature geometric patterns and a holographic effect on the back.
