5G variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 has surfaced on Geekbench, it seems. This handset comes with the SM-G981U model number, and it’s the latest piece of info in the Galaxy S20 leak frenzy.
The Galaxy S20 will be the smallest of the S20 series smartphones. It will launch alongside the Galaxy S20+, and S20 Ultra, according to rumors.
Geekbench confirms the Snapdragon 865G for the Galaxy S20 5G, pretty much
This Geekbench listing reveals that the 5G Galaxy S20 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865G SoC. It also reveals that the phone will pack in 12GB of RAM, and ship with Android 10 out of the box.
On top of Google’s OS, you’ll find Samsung’s custom UI, of course. 12GB of RAM will be standard on this phone, and the same can be said for the other S20 variants.
The device managed to score 561 points in the single-core test on Geekbench. On the flip side, it managed to hit 2,358 points in the multi-core test.
According to the latest info that leaked, Samsung will announce five S20 variants in total. The S20 and S20+ will arrive in both 4G and 5G iterations. The Galaxy S20 Ultra, however, will be available in a 5G flavor only.
The Galaxy S20’s 4G and 5G variants will be the same in every regard, except when it comes to connectivity. The regular model will include the Snapdragon 865, without a 5G modem. The 5G variant will include the Snapdragon 865G.
This handset is expected to feature a 6.2-inch display, we still don’t know if it will be a fullHD+ or a QHD+ panel, though. It will be made out of metal and glass, the same as the other two variants.
All three S20 phones will include a display camera hole
All three Galaxy S20 phones will sport a display camera hole. They are expected to offer curved displays as well, but those curves will be quite minimal.
A 4,000mAh battery is expected to be included in the Galaxy S20. The phone will support fast charging, and that goes for both wired and wireless charging.
The phone is expected to offer a 12-megapixel main camera, paired with a 64-megapixel telephoto unit, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide shooter.
The Galaxy S20 lineup will become official on February 11 in San Francisco. Along with these phones, Samsung is expected to unveil its second foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip. You can expect to see more S20 leaks in the coming days / weeks, so get ready.
