Netmarble is working on a new RPG game for mobile devices called Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, and it launches sometime this year.
Better yet this will be a global launch, which means it’ll arrive for all regions around or at the same time. Netmarble is calling this a cinematic adventure RPG for mobile, so expect plenty of cutscenes.
The game is based off of the Seven Deadly Sins anime, so art style and visuals will reflect this. It’s also likely that some of or all of the game’s included cutscenes will be animated just like the show.
Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross is already up for pre-registration
If you like anime games and you’re interested in checking this one out, you can pre-register for the game now on Google Play.
Pre-registering will also net you some rewards after the game launches. Which is pretty typical. As for the rewards, players who pre-register will get an in-game character, an in-game costume and weapon for that character, and some in-game currency.
The in-game currency will be 30 diamonds which is the premium currency, and 100,000 gold which is the normal in-game currency that will be used more often.
Players will also get a box that contains other various items, including a costume for Elizabeth who is the game’s main heroine character.
There’s no launch date yet
Netmarble hasn’t said anything about an official launch date yet. Just that the game is coming in 2020.
That means it will launch sometime this year but it could be earlier or later. The game will feature the original cast of Japanese voice actors too, which should be a treat for anyone that has watched the show.
Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross will be a free game to play, and it will be a turn-based RPG that features both PvE and PvP gameplay. Such as Deathmatch, a 2-player co-op mode and more.
Like any turn-based RPG you’ll be able to pick and choose your team members, level up and upgrade their skills and stats, and even dress them in unique costumes and outfits.
The game even has a cool augmented reality feature that lets you take pictures with AR versions of the characters. Something which should delight the biggest fans of the franchise.
Overall the game has a lot of different elements to it that should help to keep players engaged beyond story content and quests. Such as cooking, exploring new areas, an affection system that builds your relationship with your characters and more.
