OxygenOS Open Beta 10 Brings Optimizations To The OnePlus 7 Series

OxygenOS Open Beta 10 is now available for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. The information has been shared on the company’s official forums, along with a changelog for this update.
OxygenOS Open Beta 10 brings quite a few optimizations to the OnePlus 7 series. RAM management optimizations are a part of this update, and quite probably the most notable change here.

Consumers have been asking for better RAM management implementation, and it seems like OnePlus decided to change things up. Improved content is now live on the settings page as well.
The company has enhanced single and double tap performance of Ambient display and lock screen as well. On top of that, this update also brings an Android security page for February.
The contact details screen has been enhanced here, while the company also fixes the audio and video issues with preloading videos… that goes for the phone’s default gallery app.
This changelog is actually quite similar to the one for the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro we talked about the other day. Those two phones actually got their very first Open Beta update recently.
In any case, if you’re already running an Open Beta software on your OnePlus 7 or 7 Pro, you’ll get this update OTA (over-the-air). You can also manually update, if you want.
Moving to the beta channel is quite simple
If you’re running a stable version of OxygenOS, moving to the Open Beta channel is not difficult. It’s as simple as downloading the right file, and then manually installing it on your phone. You even get to keep all your data in the process.
If you try to revert the process, though, you’ll lose all your data. That is something you should keep in mind if you intend on moving back to the stable channel. The process of doing that is quite similar, minus the data loss, of course.
The OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro were announced last year, and are still the company’s flagships, kind of. The 7T and 7T Pro took that title, but the two smartphone series are extremely similar.
The OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro have been running Android 10 for quite some time now, even before the 7T series got announced. So, the update that we talked about is based on Android 10.
Both of those phones are made out of metal and glass, though they are somewhat different in terms of the design. The OnePlus 7 is smaller, and it includes a waterdrop notch. The 'Pro’ model, on the other hand, includes a pop-up camera, and it’s quite large.
