Disney+ Is Now Available In Many European Countries

Disney+ arrival in Europe has been long awaited, and it is finally available.
Late last year, Disney+ launched in the US and a few other countries. It brought loads of great content both new and old. And it was pegged to launch in Europe later this year, but Disney+ decided to move the date up. This happened before the COVID-19 pandemic that has most of us confined to our homes. But it’s working out well for Disney+, after all, it just tripled its sign ups last week alone.
Disney+ Pricing in Europe
The pricing in Europe is pretty similar to the pricing in the US. It’s a bit more expensive though since the Euro is stronger than the Dollar right now. But still not a bad price, when you consider how much content Disney+ currently has available.
Here’s the current monthly and yearly prices for Disney+ in Europe.

Monthly Cost
Yearly Cost

Austria
€6.99
€69.99

France
€6.99
€69.99

Germany
€6.99
€69.99

Ireland
€6.99
€69.99

Italy
€6.99
€69.99

Spain
€6.99
€69.99

Switzerland
9.90 CHF
99.00 CHF

United Kingdom
£5.99
£59.99

Unfortunately, since ESPN+ and Hulu are only available in the US, Europeans won’t be able to get that bundle. So there’s no bundles available in Europe. Just Disney+ by itself. Which is still far cheaper than the other streaming services available right now.
It’s worth noting that Disney+ did decide to delay its launch in France at the request of the government. This is due to the pandemic that is hitting the country really hard right now. And how much stress its internet infrastructure is under right now. It should hopefully launch very soon.

What’s available on Disney+?
Disney+ consists of five arms of content, essentially. That’s Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney, and National Geographic. Giving you plenty of content to watch. The majority of Marvel movies are available on Disney+ now, with the exception of Spider-Man movies. There are a few that aren’t yet available, due to them being licensed to other streaming services. But once their licensing contracts run out within the next year, they will come to Disney+.
You’ll also find all of the Star Wars movies available on Disney+, and there’s even The Mandalorian. Which is an original series that Disney+ launched last year. It’s the one with the Baby Yoda.
Disney+ is great for kids for a number of reasons. It offers a ton of content, which Disney has in the form of movies and TV shows. Since it has a couple of TV channels, that it has made content for, for decades now, there’s a big catalog of content to watch. This includes High School Musical, That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Hannah Montana and many more.
