May 4th is Star Wars Day, and if you don’t know that, then you obviously aren’t a Star Wars fan. But to celebrate Star Wars Day, Disney+ is launching a new docuseries on the Mandalorian.
The docuseries is titled „Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” and it’s set to be a eight-episode series.
What will Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian be about?
The eight-part docuseries is going to go behind-the-scenes on the first season of the show. If you haven’t watched The Mandalorian yet, you need too. But it is centered on the bounty hunter and, to most people’s surprise, his new companion known as The Child. Though most people call it „Baby Yoda”.
Disney+ says that each episode will take a look at a different facet of the show’s production, and include unseen footage and interviews with the executive producer Jon Favreau, as well as other members of the crew.
Because Star Wars Day is on a Monday, the first episode will drop on a Monday. With all other episodes dropping on subsequent Fridays on Disney+ until the eight episodes are out.
That’s not all Disney+ is doing for Star Wars Day
You knew that Disney+ was going to go big for Star Wars Day, even with this pandemic going on.
On Star Wars Day, Disney+ is going to be the series finale episode of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. After seven seasons, this series is going to be ending. And we’ll get to see how the massive war that takes place in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith finally plays out.
If you’re a Star Wars fan, it’s definitely worth signing up for Disney+. It already has a number of shows available, including all of the Star Wars movies on its streaming network. And it has plans for plenty more Star Wars content. Although, many of it is delayed now, due to the pandemic and everyone being forced to work from home now.
But right now, Disney+ has a number of Star Wars movies and shows planned for 2021. However, a new season of The Mandalorian and Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker are planned for later this year.
The prequel series Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be coming in 2021.
If you haven’t already signed up for Disney+, now is definitely the time. Especially with everyone being home now, and Disney+ already having a ton of content available.
