HP is all set to launch no fewer than three new Enterprise-grade Chromebooks covering the gamut of work-based use cases. Those are the HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise, Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise, and Chromebook Enterprise 14 G6. The company announced its new lineup with the underlying goal that they’d serve Enterprise environments, amid continuing work-from-home measures. But also in light of likely long-lasting impacts on remote-working requirements and standards.
That means that they cover a wide range of purposes and probable uses. That also means that there’s quite a variety of components and features across the range. The combination of powerful hardware with Chrome OS’s cloud-based features and administrative management are obvious benefits. This new lineup has something for just about every user.
In that same vein, HP is also rolling out two new thin-client options starting this month.  The first of those is the HP ThinPro Go, designed to enable a higher standard of security from anywhere via HP ThinPro OS. That environment is bootable on PCs from a USB, delivering instantaneous secure access to business apps and data.  That’ll be available from just $135.
The second of those devices is the HP mt22 Mobile Thin Client and is more akin to a standard thin-client laptop solution. That’s built on a lay-flat hinge, starting at $495. But it’s more than just a secure way for VDI users to be productive. It offers „multi-layered security” across user data, the device, and identity alongside a self-healing BIOS and HP Privacy Camera. Beyond that, the solid stamped-aluminum body is tested to withstand MIL-STD testing.
The HP Thin Client is packed with Intel Celeron-branded processors. It also stacks in HP Extended Range Wireless LAN and works with accessories such as displays or a desktop environment via a connection to an HP USB-C dock.
Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise

The first of the new HP Enterprise Chromebooks is the HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise. It offers the highest screen-to-body ratio yet to be seen on a Chrome OS laptop in a 2-in-1 folding form-factor. More specifically, that’s a 90.1-percent ratio, with ultra-thin bezels surrounding its 13.5-inch 3:2 ratio FullHD resolution display panel.
That panel is also embedded into a top lid that’s 75-percent comprised of recycled aluminum. The keyboard set below that frame is comprised of 50-percent recycled plastics, while the speakers utilize recovered ocean-bound plastics. This is the first Chromebook to have met an EPEAT Gold rating in twenty countries. Those speakers’ audio is driven by Bang & Olufsen.
In terms of other enterprise features, this is also the first Chromebook to ship with an integrated privacy screen. That’s a feature that was only recently spotted in the Chromium Gerrit and has been dubbed HP Sure View Reflect. It’s enabled at the press of a button and essentially makes the screen unviewable at offset angles. An integrated fingerprint sensor and built-in webcam privacy switch provide additional business-centric security features.
In terms of bleeding-edge technology, HP embued its Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise with Wi-Fi 6 compatibility and HP Extended Range Wireless LAN. 4G connections are optional here too, making it easier than ever to work from anywhere.
Powering that experience is an up to 12-hour Intel Project Athena-rated battery, driving 10th Gen Intel Core processors. Up to 16GB RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD storage can be paired with that and active-cooling keeps everything running smoothly.

Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise

HP’s Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise is a 14-inch Chromebook with an aluminum exterior tested to MIL-STD standards. It can resist spills up to 350ml of water and comes with an optional backlit keyboard. But it’s also not a heavy machine. In fact, HP says it’s the thinnest 14-inch business-class Chrome OS clamshell around at just 0.65-inches.
The security of the exterior extends to the camera here too, with an integrated shutter to protect that hardware. An optional fingerprint scanner is available for this build too.
Like the other new HP Chromebook above, extended range LAN and Wi-Fi 6 enable the fastest, longest-reaching networking.
The maximum available storage and RAM remain the same here, driving 10th Gen Intel Core Processors. But while this Chromebook also has a battery life rated at 12-hours and fast charging to 90-percent in 90 minutes, HP has gone a bit further with ports. Not only are there two USB-C and two standard USB ports. This device stands out from other Enterprise Chromebooks in that HP includes an integrated HDMI port too.

Chromebook Enterprise 14 G6

The final of the newly announced HP Enterprise Chromebooks is the HP Chromebook Enterprise 14 G6. This is an iterative device, building on the existing 14-inch clamshell devices already launched by the company.
As its name suggests, this Chromebook is a 14-inch, lay-flat laptop. HP packed it with Intel Celeron processors for better efficiency, allowing up to 13.5-hours of use. Fast charging and HP Privacy Camera features make their way here too, as does HP Extended Range Wireless LAN. The privacy camera feature is optional, as is an integrated fingerprint scanner and HP Sure View Reflect.
Like the Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise, HP’s Chromebook Enterprise 14 G6 packs an HDMI-port and a USB-C port. That’s in addition to two standard ports.
Optional backlighting and a spill-resistant keyboard are great available features too. But what makes this device stand out from the pack is that HP has designed this Chromebook to withstand household chemicals. More precisely, it can be wiped down with popular household wipes for cleaning without causing damage. That makes this Chromebook a great option for remote workers or for workers who will be sharing machines.

So when, exactly, do these new Enterprise Chromebooks From HP arrive
None of the new HP Chromebooks here are really breaking the mold in terms of their platform formats. Instead, a familiar and comfortable design has been used while the extra focus has been put on durability, features, and performance.
Each of the new HP Enterprise Chromebooks is going to be launching this year but that’s going to be a staggered launch. The latter of the three, the HP Chromebook Enterprise 14 G6, is already available in black coloration. That’s been set with a starting price of just $399.
The 'Elite’ and 'Pro’ enterprise Chromebooks from HP will arrive a bit later. They also don’t have set prices just yet. But buyers won’t need to wait too long for the HP Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise. That’s set to go on sale starting in June. In August, the company will launch its HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise.
Both of the brand new Enterprise series Chromebooks ships in a minimal silver color configuration.
