Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones are currently available for pre-order and will be in stores starting August 21. According to a new report, Samsung has already managed to reach 1.17 million pre-orders in its home country of South Korea.
It is almost 90-percent of the Galaxy Note 10 pre-orders placed during the same period. However, the company has managed to get 1.6 times more pre-orders compared to 2018’s Galaxy Note 9.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 pre-orders are a bit lower than Galaxy Note 10
The company managed has to get about 1.3 million pre-orders over a 13-day pre-order period for its Galaxy Note 10 series. It’s the highest Samsung has ever achieved for a flagship Galaxy smartphone pre-sale.
With a week to go until the official release, the Galaxy Note 20 pre-orders could come closer to Galaxy Note 10’s overall pre-orders. Though it might not cross the record-breaking numbers of the Galaxy Note 10 series.
Considering how 2020 has gone so far, it’s still a reasonable number of pre-orders. The cheaper Galaxy Note 20 with a plastic body and flat-screen display only accounted for 35 percent of the pre-sales. Out of all the different color options, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the Mystic Bronze color is clearly the fan-favorite.
It went out of stock on the first day itself. Keep in mind that these pre-order sales numbers are just for South Korea. As Samsung hasn’t yet announced any pre-order figures for other markets. Unlike any other Android smartphone, the Galaxy Note series has its own fan base.
Mystic Bronze is the most popular color option
Furthermore, there is no alternative to them except for a new Galaxy Note smartphone. The S Pen is clearly one of those unique features. With the Galaxy Note 20 series, the company has brought it some fundamental changes. Apart from the size, there are many more differences between the two Galaxy Note smartphones for the first time.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra packs all the latest and greatest specifications available in the market. Unfortunately, it’s not the same case with the standard Galaxy Note 20. The company managed to downgrade the device in some key areas while still selling it for $1,000. Such as the plastic back, and the 60Hz display with 1080p resolution.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 20 series during its virtual Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5. The company also announced the Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Buds Live, and Galaxy Watch 3. It even showcased the Galaxy Z Fold 2 without revealing other details.
